Snapchat is my new favorite social media. I’ve only been using it for less than a year and I’m still figuring it out, but I love to follow people’s adventures near and far. There’s a number of lists from other bloggers going around with suggested users to follow, like Adventurous Kate’s list, this list from Getting Stamped, or this definitive list from Eva Explores, that you should check out, too.
There are so many people using this platform now, so I thought I would highlight some of the travelers on Snapchat who I personally like to keep up with. A few on this list are friends of mine, but I feel like I would quickly make friends with the rest. I look forward to seeing what’s next from these travelers because it’s always a little unexpected and a little quirky.
Follow the daily adventures of these world travelers on Snapchat by adding their usernames or snap codes.
Alex & Ashley
Why you should follow: When you start watching Alex and Ashley’s snaps, you’ll drool over all the delicious food and fancy drinks. They just got back from Spain and are now in Southern California eating up all the avocados they can find.
Why you should follow: OMG, this girl! She is hilarious, especially after a couple glasses of wine. Oh, to be 25 again. She’s currently in Thailand, living it up and making my heart flutter with each tropical beach snap.
Amy & Nathan
Snapchat: Amy @ Two Drifters (twodrifters)
Why you should follow: Based in Ashville, North Carolina, Amy entertains with goofy anecdotes and hilarious scenes from her life as a silent movie. Sometimes featured is her fiancé Nathan, and the two will be tying the knot in a couple weeks!
Garrett & Nina
Snapchat: thetravelhuman and Where in the World is Nina (witwinina)
Why you should follow: Garrett and Nina are living and working in Australia right now, and saving up for future extended travel. They have separate accounts but are frequently featured in each other’s snaps. Now that they are settled, they’ll show you around their interesting Melbourne neighborhood.
Snapchat: Jackie Laulainen (travelingjackie)
Why you should follow: Jackie is an inspiring solo female traveler and adventurer, currently in Argentina. She snaps about the every-day life of a being location-independent and appreciates a good craft beer and cute dogs.
Kinsey & Chelsea
Snapchat: The Travelin Chicks (travelinchicks)
Why you should follow: These two sisters from Gloucester, MA are keeping it real while living in New Zealand for a year. Funny anecdote! My car is named Beyonce, so when these two beauties asked the Snapchat-o-sphere what they should name their new Kiwi car, I suggested Sasha Fierce – and they picked it!
Snapchat: Lateral Movements (laurenvfitz)
Why you should follow: Lauren lives in Australia and travels frequently for work. She also gets stuck in rain storms, plays bingo, bakes a lot, and HATES cockroaches. She will make you LOL.
Why you should follow: Mimi is based in Portland, Oregon (for now) and her snaps make me really miss the Pacific Northwest. She also loves craft beer and beautiful hikes.
Why you should follow: If you like adorable, honest blondes from Prague who talk about the highs and lows of traveling – you will LOVE Petra. She is currently volunteering with refugees in Idomeni, Greece, handing out bananas, celebrating birthdays, and showing a side of this camp that the media’s limited vantage can portray.
Snapchat: Robyn Around the World (robyn_hartzell)
Why you should follow: Robyn is a solo female traveler going after what she wants! She eats well and tells you exactly how it is in the places she visits.
Brittany – that’s me!
I actually don’t know what I’m doing with Snapchat, so it’s all awkward. I’m still really uncomfortable being in front of the camera. Great sell, right? But I live on Cape Cod and it’s gorgeous here! I also spend a lot of time with my adorable, red-headed Goddaughter, watching breath-taking sunsets, and cooking yummy food. Tell me what you want to see more of!
